Chrome started hitting my blog

It is really amazing that Google Chrome could be so hot just after hours of its birth.

StatCounter reported that according to its statistics, "Google’s new browser, Chrome, has taken 1% of the global browser market within a day of launch." Another post at Slashdot claimed that "according to Clicky Chrome has hit 3% browser share" on day 2.

PosterChrome also started hitting my blog. As per my blog statistics from Google Analytics, 3.43% visits were from Chrome users after the new browser released, even higher than the average share reported above.

Chrome's Wikipedia article is also hot. According to its history statistics, the article has been revised for 855 times in the past 6 days, 3/4 revisions were major changes, 337 fans contributed. The first edition was created on 1 September 2008, just one day before its release date, with only an one-sentence description: "Chrome is the opensource browser developed by Google." Now the article is very informative and well wikipedized.

I have tasted Chrome, but not on production machines, only on a Hyper-V virtual machine running Windows Server 2003.
